That was a very early effort. I'd only been writing poetry less than a year. My writing has changed a lot since then!
Thanks Terry and Catherine. It won a first prize in the emerging poet somewhere in WA. Can't remember whether it was Cervantes or Boyup Brook. That win prevented me entering it in anything else sadly.
This poem was recited by some school children in either France or Gallipoli a couple of years ago. Dave organised that. That was a thrill.
