WHINGER

This winter is woeful,
I wish I was warm
and then I'll stop whingeing.

When summer comes hot
I'll wish it was cool.
and then I'll stop whingeing.

We've had so much wet,
I wish it was fine
and then I'll stop whingeing.

There's desperate drought,
I wish it would rain
and then I'd stop whingeing.

The bills are so high
I wish I had cash,
and then I'd stop whingeing.

I've bought so much junk
I wish I could clear it,
and then I'd stop whingeing.

When I was so young
I wished to grow up
so I could stop whingeing.

I'm old and decrepit,
I wish I was young
and then I'd stop whingeing.

This life is so tragic
I wish I could die.
And THEN I'd stop whingeing.

Said Hanrahan. :D

It's attitude Neville. My glass is (nearly always) half full. Recently a tree fell on my fence. It didn't break the fence - I'm grateful for that. Another tree fell on my cattle yard. It hit the crush and not the railing - I'm grateful for that. A few years ago a ladder fell and dented my car - but missed my head by millimetres - I'm very grateful for that. I recently twisted my ankle and tore ligaments, but i'm grateful I didn't break it. I've forgotten a lot of shitty things that have happened to me - I'm so grateful for that! Your life (not yours in particular) is what you make of it - if you don't like it, change it, or accept it for what it is and get on with it.

I did enjoy your poem but I do think you need to plant some flowers. :)

My glass is completely full. Sometimes I have to tip a bit out to make room for more stuff.

Live in the now, not the 'now and then'...that's my philosophy.

That, and don't whinge!

I don't think you needed it Neville. :)

Go and buy yourself a cyclamen - it will put a splash of colour in your life on a cold grey winter's day. :D
