And they are gonna run our ageing players off their feet with all their speed
then try to grind them down into the dirt.

And Laurie Daleys spruiking that the secret he has found
to mould his bunch of grubs into a top notch team.
Well you just go on spruiking Laurie cause our team is on the way
and you’re gonna find that winning is a dream.

Cooper Cronk is sitting injured but his spirit is still there
and Cherry Evans well he fits just like a glove.
Yes our team is primed and ready to reclaim that cherished shield
a sight that every Queenslander will love.

The Blues they had their chances for victory in game one
but their halfs just don’t know how to read the game.
and they have stuck with Pierce and Hodkinson as loyalty they say
their selectors need to hang their heads in shame.

Gallens back and fighting fit to head the Blues into the fray
but a lack of game time just may lead to his defeat.

Thanks Warren my son came home last night and asked if I had a suit coat ? no only a jacket I said and why ? Well he said a football mate who own an electrical company brought tickets to the state of origin in Melbourne and now one of his crew cannot go so he offer my son the ticket.

He told him that he could not afford to fly down and accommodation so the guy say " that's ok mate I will pay all costs if you can get time off work.

My son is off work now SICK and on his way to Melbourne with not a thought for his dear old dad ?

Just in the right spot at the right time. Hope he does not catch any Victorian germs.
