I just came across this piece from sometime ago and thought I might re post it.


“MY DREAMTIME”

I’m the spirit of the outback; red dust is in my veins,
I am the rugged mountains, the droughts and flooding rains.
I am the trees and flowers; I’m the rivers and the sea,
the fires and the famines they are all a part of me.

I am the whole worlds’ animals of feather, scale or hair,
from in the sea or on the earth and those up in the air.
I am the ones that long have gone, I’m those still yet to be,
everything this old earth has, it all belongs to me.

I am the ruler of the land, of all that I survey,
no matter what you try to do, I’ll have the final say.
And you will never beat me though for centuries you’ve tried,
I am the reason you have laughed and so too you have cried.

I scorn your false religions that give cause to kill and fight,
you try and prove to all the world that your beliefs are right,
and still you worship idols, and things you cannot see;
while everything since time began is all a part of me.

I am the one who started time; I’ll be here when it ends,
and you can be my enemies or you can be my friends,
but if you choose to shun me that won’t bother me at all,
for I am mother nature and I’ll make the final call!

Oh yes, She will indeed. Great thoughts Ross and Merry Christmas to you and yours ...

I have always been a greenie Neville, just not by the current sense of the word.... No matter how smart we think we are, I believe the force of nature will always balance the scales eventually. We, and all other inhabitants of this planet have been involved in changing and evolving with it, it never ceases to bewilder me that the majority of the population are aware that the planet has been changing since time or whatever began, yet still it seems we have to try and make it stay exactly as it is now,,,,it ain't gunna happen!...

With that sort of philosophy Ross you would have fitted right in at the Academy - pity you weren't there mate.

I am happy to go with that Maureen, after 40 years of marriage I have learned that whoever wins must be a she...

Thanks Matt, I am not too sure that "Mother Nature" is all that concerned about the little bit we do, there has been a lot of changes to this planet that happened well before we even arrived, so the experts tell us. The same experts are now blaming us for the weather.....
as small as it is in the scheme of things, it's still too big for me....
