DOGS

Post by Neville Briggs » Mon Mar 17, 2014 3:18 am

DOGS

Dogs, dogs,dogs,dogs.

Bulldogs flop their slobby snoring,
Corgis chew the children's shoes.
Dachshunds irritate with yapping,
Cattle dogs drop reeking poos.
If only they were not disgusting
they could be my friends.

Dogs, dogs, dogs, dogs.

Boxers have the postman cringing,
Spaniels pant with meaty breath.
Kelpies cause the neighbours whinging,
Staffies mauled our chooks to death.
If only they were not annoying
they could be my friends.

Dogs, dogs, dogs, dogs.

German Shepherds whoop their woofing,
Border Collies shed their hair.
Labradors are always mooching,
Mongrels; they are everywhere.
If only they were not so beastly,
we could be best friends.

Dogs, dogs, dogs, dogs.
Bark, bark, bark, bark.
Neville

Jinnys out there in the yard running round like mad
Jazz is sitting in the pool the bloody tub of lard.
Jackies got her dander up and is barking at a frog
Chook Chooks waiting for a feed she only thinks she is a dog

They all have personalities that fit them to a tee
but every day when I come home they fill my life with glee.
So grab yourself some happiness and blow away the fog
you'll never know what real love is until ya get yourself a dog.

Good on you Bob - my girls give you 10/10 for that one :D and like your piccie Jinnies looking good - I agree with her comment as well ;)

I take it Neville you have not replaced your old dog as yet :( You know there would be an older dog waiting at the pound looking for a lovely bloke like you to come along and take her home.

Older dogs are not destructive
Older dogs don't bark as much
Older dogs are couch potatoes
but they still love pats and hugs.

Older dogs are undervalued
as are older people too
Older dogs would still bring pleasure
share their love and life with you.

Thank you Maureen was bloody hard to get them all in one pic

That flaming chook really thinks it is a dog was sound asleep in their bed yesterday.

Line up at the door for a bit of sausage every morning and comes when you call the dogs.

Cheers Bob

Well Neville, my loyalties are divided. On the one hand I'd like to defend the old dogs, & on the other I'd like to support you.....but on further reflection that's really one & the same thing, eh?........  xx

What a gorgeous family you have Bob....seriously. (Perhaps you should advertise your 'rooster' on a dog site?)
'Feathered doggie up for grabs
cos each morning he just grabs
the tucker from the other dogs
but he's good at herding hogs.

Sure he's only got two legs
but he barks and sits and begs
and if you're ever sleeping late
at 4am he'll rouse you mate!

;)
