Bamboo Socks

Okay - while we're on the subject of socks . . .
Bamboo Socks
M. Pattie
I bought some Bamboo socks you see,
and now I’m quite excited.
They’re worth the price, and slip on nice;
I’m suitably delighted.
I think they’re made with magic
and a splash of abracadabrics.
I’ve since forgotten socks of cotton
and all other fabrics.
But Aunty Esther scorned my socks
so I felt I should say
“Good Golly Esther Polyester’s
just so yesterday”.
My Bamboo socks are luscious,
I just wash them once a week.
They’re made of wood so still smell good,
they breathe and never reek.
My Bamboo socks are fluffy, soft,
I wear them everywhere.
Just like a piece of Panda fleece
that’s shaved from off a bear.
I’m thrilled; exhilarated ‘bout
my pair of Bamboo socks.
I’m just so glad you’d think I had
some Bamboo in my jocks.
I love my Bamboo socks
I have but only one regret.
The Bamboo shoots sprout from my boots
when they get soaking wet.
