It's Not my Mess

Post by Bob Pacey » Wed Sep 04, 2013 7:50 am

The front yards looking weedy and the grass is turning brown
the early morning walkers just look at it and frown.
The letter box is broken, there is a new one by the fence
but I've been so bloody busy well that is still my defence.

Two fence panels have been broken off by kids out in the street
the frangipanis lost it leaves now there's no shade from the heat.
There's scooters in the driveway and eskies down the side
bits of timber offcuts and other stuff I've tried to hide.

The garden beds are full of weeds, there's pamphlets everywhere
you know the lady at the local pub suggested I don't care !
I guess I'd better clean it up but it's a job I'm really rueing
It's not my bloody fault you know, I've just been so busy P'oing

There used to be a show called 'Celebrities Gardens', but it was eventually cancelled because most 'celebrities' don't have time for gardening, and their gardens are bloody awful!

A noted historic exception might appear to be the gardens at 'Arden', the property of C. J. Dennis, but a closer inspection of the evidence reveals that his wife did all the hard yakka, while he hurled the occasional 'helpful' suggestion from the safety of the verandah!

You are talking to Nigel no friends Heather.

As soon as I clean up my son makes a mess again you would think he owned the bloody place !

Hang on he does LOL

Just don't feel like gardening after doing it all day at work will get to it eventually .

Oh the comment from the lady in the bottle shop at the pub was a bit rude
