I went to the breakfast and citizenship and awards ceremony at the Civic Centre.
Marcus Kirkwood got the citizen of the year for Singleton. He has raised vast amounts of money for childrens cancer treatment.

They didn't have any bush poetry readings...bad, bad.

Hi Neville & Marty,
Glad to hear someone got into the spirit of the day! A bit hypocritical, but I have stayed indoors...it was 40 degrees on my back verandah around lunch time, so no barbeques or cricket here today!!!

Same this end Neville, I spent the morning busking at the Heritage Village markets, thousands of people and when they came to the ceremony for citizenship a local pollie read and I mean read Ruperts Green and Gold Malaria. At least it was better then nothing.

Got to perform at the Great Australian Beach Party at Yeppoon at 2.30 pm good crowd but a little sore in the throat now so gonna sit back and have a rum and chill.

Enjoy the day all.

Hi Bob,
Sounds like you've had a busy day! Hopefully that rum helped to soothe the throat.
