We'll all be -

We'll be right mates - our poems will be like a mob of scrub cattle - you might loose a few at the first muster but you get them the second time around. We'll have them rounded up and in the stockyards before we know it.
We'll all be
"We'll all be rooned," said Hanrahan,
In accents most forlorn,
“For seems the poems that we wrote
have disappeared and gone.”
They stood and reminisced all night
about poems of the drought,
and poems that they'd written –
until the lights went out.
"It's dry, all right," said young Emo,
With which astute remark -
Manfred came back with “she'll be right
we're making a new start.
They're singin' out for poems," he said,
"And all the tanks are dry."
"We'll all be rooned," said Hanrahan,
"If poetry don't fly."
A heavy silence seemed to steal
o'er all at this remark;
then like the poets that they were
they wrote into the dark.
“We won't be rooned” said Hanrahan
“we are poing already
and many hands will make light work
go easy mates – go steady. “
