Great poem Marty! Well done! A very timely comment and one I am sure the firefighters would appreciate.

I'm not sure whether this reply will leave the box as I'm a non-member. Pity if it doesn't because I want to say how much I enjoyed your poem Marty. My brother is a fire fighter here in Brissy. I'm emailing him a copy. Hope that's ok.

Good on you Wazza and great poem Marty. They are superheroes in my book these firies, just wish that Australia would lash out and buy a few Elvis clones - at least one for each state would be a start - they'd get plenty of usage IMO and yes I know they are hellishly expensive, but what price do we put on the loss of life, homes, farmland and stock each year.

Charity begins at home and whilst I don't have a problem with offering refuge to those who come from other countries and the cost involved with that - just at the moment I think our own peoples problem should be of paramount importance and the money directed to more pressing needs at this point in time.

Stay safe Mate

Cheers

Maureen

Bonzaaa!! Yes! definitely send this one to the head office Marty. I'm sure the fly boys will appreciate this much more than the snivelling hyperbole of the pollies.
