It's been two years since my old dog died, I still miss her, but he appears as a model in some of my oil paintings.
MY FAVOURITE ANIMAL

All the charms of a pedigree canine
Never styled my dog's spirited ways.
If you wanted first prize in the dog show,
More than my old black mongel you'd need.
And although she was nondescript breed,
Loyal and gentle she lived out her days.

Greater love hath no man Neville - know exactly how you feel. Why not go and get another one??? There will be a pound puppy out there who would love to be your little mate.
