TRUST

Once a promise made is broken – once a trust is cast aside,
once a lover’s heart forsaken, deep inside a hurt will hide.
Long remembered ever after - still remembered even when,
tears have passed, hurt feelings faded, each commits to try again.

And if a new love entrancing, fills the heart with rapture true.
When two people come together, they will learn to trust anew.
Even whilst two hearts are beating, as they whisper loving words,
ears are tuned to fleeting whispers lest the moment pass unheard.

Trust is precious, true its value can't be priced the same as gold.
But its worth is more than equal for the love it will unfold.
For without trust we have nothing worth the having, worth the pain.
Trust is precious, guard it closely. Never take its worth in vain.
