Guilty of missing it as well Trish - sometimes that just happens which is why it is good to go trawling occasionally - good poem I got bitten yesterday but thank god not by a bull ant, but it still hurt.

By the way the photos of you an Sue and the mob at weekend were excellent - nice looking ladies and blokes we have on this site I reckon. Mannie looked like he was doing parrot impersonations though - three sheets to the wind etc etc.

Probably just an optical illusion

Great verse, Trisha. Brought back not so pleasant memories, - i was bitten on the genitals by a sergeant ant about an inch long when I was about 12 years old. 48 years ago and the memory still makes me wince!

Hi Heather, Maureen & Henry,
Thanks for the plug Heather...and if anyone is interested in the book, just send me a pm for details.

It was a lovely weekend Maureen...met some great people.

Almost "too" much information on that bite Henry  but I know someone who had the same fate from a green ant...not a happy camper!

Took me a while to MARSHAL my thoughts but I've had a close CAPTAIN cook and I reckon Henry's talk of SERGEANT ants and PRIVATE parts is a bit of a FURPHY and he deserves CORPORAL punishment, although there may be a COLONEL of truth in it. Maybe he was bitten by an ADJUT-ANT? At any rate it was an ADMIRAbLe effort and RANKS right up there for yarns about ARMY ants...I just hope there was no MAJOR damage done and that he LEFT TEN ANTS dead in reprisal.

Cheers, Will.
