Goodonya Glenny, your take on the futility of war in this poem matches my feelings on the subject to the letter. I have even been playing around with a poem with similar sentiments. If only I could express it as well as you do. Thanks also Joe for the update on the Dunedoo show. I was hoping Carol would read out my poem....& then I found out she was the Judge. I thought it a brave judging decision....but then she's a pretty brave lady. I wished I could have been there for the awards but I was waxing lyrical for the gang at Condamine at the time.
My pen is itching to craft some poems from the incredible stories I picked up from the flood victims....as soon as I finish my bathroom. (His Lordship shot through to a new bunch needing help so it's me that's washing out the paint brushes in the dunny now. It actually works pretty good.)
