Turning Ninety

Post by Bob Pacey » Wed Nov 16, 2011 9:32 pm

Oh what the heck this will do.

TURNING NINETY

The old man sat there in the tub
lamenting over the past.
Yes ninety years he had endured
who'd have thought this long he'd last.

To his feet he then gazed down and said
yes feet you've served me well.
Tomorrow we turn ninety
now won't that just be swell.

Next to his hands he spoke with pride
you've helped me toil the land.
Ninety years tomorrow passes by
oh it's a feeling just so grand.

Yes ninety years he had endured
a hard life. yes but fair.
The ravages of better times
showed in his greying hair.

Then he stared down at his private parts
and the old anger rose anew.
and if you'd not died ten years ago
you'd be bloody ninety too.

BOB PACEY ( C )
The purpose in life is to have fun.
After you grasp that everything else seems insignificant !!!

Rum can do wonderful things for the poetic brain.

Kills all the old ones and replaces them with better quality cells.

Gonna try to practice the guitar now not much hope of getting that right and I've got three shows on Saturday.

Lot of difference between a two and a three rum performance.

G/day Bob,
I've heard it works the opposite way mate.

Mind you I'm not sure just what we're talking about here.
