Re: Molly
A member of our bush poets club ( John ) was reciting a poem like that with the mystery
sweetheart ( a cow ) and UNFORTUNATELY
another of our members sitting in the audience blurted out in a stage whisper the punch line. John finished it, but you should have seen his face

sweetheart ( a cow ) and UNFORTUNATELY

That looks like a fun machine. We always gave our trucks names, mostly based on make, So there was Molly, Mary and Mildred, - all Mack Prime movers. Then there were the rigid tippers, Fanny Foden and Lulu Leyland.warooa wrote:Good one Henry . . dunno how common a name it is for a truck, but a mate of mine has a Unimog called Molly.
They were all female names of course, based on the undeniable fact that they would almost certainly give you trouble and cost you money.

Re: Molly
Really Henry!!
My old Mazda 929 wagon was a Molly as well I had her 23 years and she never cost me near as much as the relationships did and she lasted longer and was always reliable....it is a furphy that the female of the species are expensive to maintain, it comes down to selecting the right one for the job. We also had 2 Leyland trucks and they were much the same...great workhorses, not fancy nancys and just kept on keeping on until the boss decided to trade up to a better looking, younger Asian model with a bit more get up and go and found his money did likewise
