I'm not disagreeing with you Heather, because you're right.
And I know that most people would like to know the results of a comp if they entered it.

I suppose I take a more lenient view because I know people who are running festivals over here.
They're often so snowed under with their own person work that it's hard to stick to a timetable.
They are also only helping to run the festival because no one else can be bothered,
and without them there would be no festival.
I guess it's the same everywhere, everything is always left to the same few people.

By the way how is the book going, is it on sale anywhere?

I'll answer about the book in the chit chat section Terry rather than monopolise this thread. :)

Volunteers do a marvellous job Terry. They often bind a community together and it's usually the same people involved in everything. I get that but the chairs still have to be taken back, the decorations taken down. As the old saying goes, if you want something done, ask a busy person (or do it yourself usually!)
