Giggle,
I thought this very funny and being a 'woman of words.'....

I rarely remember jokes there is one other I remember - nearly split my sides over it. I couldn't get through saying it without great peels of laughter.

Taking place in the north of England (I'm not up with the idiosyncratic slang so I'll just say north)
this really religious, (went to church every day) lady died.
Her husband ordered a beautiful headstone carved for her grave saying 'She were Thine'.
but when he went to look at it he found it was wrong so he said to the stonemason. There is a mistake - you've left off the 'e'
Next time he looked the headstone read

"E. She were Thin."

Well I thought it was funny.!

North is right Zondrae, sounds very much like Yorkshire.
