Children's show at Newstead Live!

Post by Stephen Whiteside » Mon Jan 29, 2018 7:10 pm

Maggie Somerville and I were very happy with our children's shows at Newstead Live! over the weekend. They were well attended, and everybody enjoyed themselves. The shows mostly consisted of songs (roughly half of them written by me and half by Maggie), with a couple of my poems thrown in for good measure. Swinging the billy was a big hit!

Well done Stephen and Maggie!

Just can’t stress enough how important it is to take our craft to the next generation, so bouquets to you and the other poets who entertain and educate our kids!

Cheers
Shelley

Yep, Stephen, what Shelley said. And, given certain memories, I trust you kept your head well clear of that swinging billy?

Cheers
David

Thanks, David. Yes, disaster always strikes when you least expect it - or at least, that has been my experience.

There were no head injuries sustained at Newstead, but an event did occur nonetheless to rival Toolangi. At the risk of making myself look like a complete idiot, I will post the photos separately.
