John O'Brien Festival

Post by mummsie » Mon Mar 21, 2016 2:24 pm

The annual John O'Brien Festival was held in Narrandera over the weekend and was well attended both with poets and spectators alike. Featured artists Noel Stallard (Father Patrick Hartigan himself) Greg North, Pat Drummond & Karen Lynne, Geoffrey Graham, The Queensland Drop Bears (Wally & Barbara Finch) delighted the large crowds. Friday night saw visiting bush poets( 14 in all ) compete for the coveted Jim Angel award which this year went to yours truly.

I think you already have them. You love your poetry, you work hard at honing your reciting skills and you deserve the awards.
