ABPA FLOAT IN TAMWORTH COUNRTY MUSIC PROCESSION..

Post by tom mcilveen » Wed Jan 11, 2012 2:51 pm

any body who is attending Tamworth can you give your suggestions for ABPA float in the Saturday morning procession.???.I thought we should have some signs made up with bush poetry theme..with ABPA website advertised to guide people to the site and to promote Australian Bush poetry ..and perhaps some signs made up advising where poetry gigs are being held over the long weekend...as many thousands view the procession and it would be a great way to advertise and promote bush poetry..perhaps someone might be willing to dress in costume of the age portraying Lawson, Paterson and maybe even a long bearded man from Iron Bark...??with a barber and others ?? Allen stone are you coming to Tamworth..?? you do a great version of man from ironbark!!

Thanks for this reminder Tom. Yes, the ABPA has been invited to enter a float into this year's Tamworth "Cavalcade". Tom has kindly organised a vehicle, trailer and bales of hay (seating) for a float.
We'll have the ABPA banner and we're getting some old bush poetry event posters to wallpaper the car.

So anyone who will be there on the Saturday 28th is invited to join us (in costume or otherwise)

I believe seating will be limited in the trailer, Tom could you advise us on how much room will be there?

Cheers,

Manfred.
