REMINDER FOR VIC POETRY YARN & SONG CHAMPIONSHIPS 14 - 16 O

G'day all,
14 - 16 October Victorian Bush Poetry & Music Championships at Benalla Bowls Club, NE Victoria.
Variety Concert with guest Keith Potger (Seekers) on Sat night
Some members are dedicated to making the Championships happen, and have made personal donations,
so the committee decided that each $50 donation would include a Weekend Wristband.

Written Poetry section officially closed with around 26 entries and I’m preparing them to send to judge Brian Bell on Thursday 15th Brian is also offering a critique service which some have taken up.
Poetry, Yarn & Song Performance sections closing 30th September $10 per entry Junior Written section closing 16th Sept & Performance Poetry sections closing 30th Sept the same as adults.
I haven’t received many performance entries as yet.
Only 2 & a bit weeks to enter, so be brave and send an entry and don’t forget our YARNS and SONG sections.
ACCOMMODATION IN BENALLA – Some places are booked out as there are other events on, however Victoria Hotel in Carrier Street has plenty at Poet friendly rates. If you don’t mind sharing the hotel bathrooms - Single $40 per night, Double or twin $50 per night, triple single $60 and quadruple single $80.

Benalla Information Centre phone is 0357621749 for other possibilities such as cabins, camping sites, B & B’s, motels.
