Blimey! That's a bit drastic - the crucifix burning! But then, old Norm was a bit "off the wall" - in more ways than one!!
I didn't know those interesting facts Stephen - I'll have to delve deeper!

Yeah, Lindsay reckoned Dennis pinched the Bloke idea from "Jonah", a novel by Louis Stone. Stone was a mate of Lindsay. Phil Butterss touches on it. It looks as though they were both written about the same time.

Interesting, Stephen, especially the plagiarism bit. But I reckon you've nailed it, Shelley. It's the classic tale of the bloke with a few rough edges who's attracted by someone way out of his league, and the "nice" girl tempted by the thrill of the "bad" boy, yet convinced she can knock those rough edges off him pretty quickly!
