Vale Shirley Friend
Shirley's son has just advised us of the sad loss of Shirley Friend, Australia's first lady of performance Bush Poetry. Will send more details when I can, re funeral.

I am sorry to be reading this - I never met Shirley but greatly admired her - as a woman, a poet and a great entertainer.
