Snail Mail

Post by Bob Pacey » Sun Mar 08, 2015 9:38 am

Been a while since we had one of these sooooo.

Snail Mail

He had written me a letter which for want of better knowledge
he had sent through bloody Telstra but that was weeks ago.
He thought it was the best way but they put the price up today
and he did not pay the extra so delivery would be slow.

If he sent the mail through Telstra then chances are that now hells
gone and frozen over laughing - Aussie posts the way to go
but things unexpected happen – and perhaps it was collected,
and kindly redirected but if not alas – no show

Well he thought they would be quicker and their service would be slicker
cause they told him that e mail would arrive that very day.
He thought they would be better but there was no where to stick the letter
so he put his e mail into Australia Post, well what else can I say.

... the ditsy blonde – who only used ‘text’ speak
at writing she was a failure and you wouldn’t want to ‘mail’ her
for she couldn't read and doubtless her direction skills are weak.

Now Australia post was rueing the new charges causing 'blueing'
and they thought bi-weekly deliveries worthy to discuss
to cut budgets quite unwieldy – though that thought really don’t thrill me
if it’s good enough for country folk its good enough for us.

I know that blondes are ditzy, and perhaps me, I've gone schitzy
but there's just one outstanding simple query I'd like known.
A most intriguing tale, we know that Straya Post sends mail,
so why try send a letter through the phone?

Well that’s the problem  as we knew it and we drew attention to it

luckily Aussies are helpful and the error it was noted

Is this letter going anywhere other than round in circles?

Bob P

It may have escaped your notice that postal fees have risen
thus the stamp upon your letter fell far short of the new fee
and the policy of payment is to double charge the claimant
for the difference in the postage so you owe one dollar three.
