Collaborative Poem 18 - My unfavourite things.

Post by Bob Pacey » Sat Jan 14, 2012 7:24 pm

Did not do much good over there so here goes.

Fried eggs and Devon with bacon and dripping
Brawn covered sandwiches, mock cream for licking.
Fish paste on toast oh the sick feeling it brings
These are a few of my least favourite things.
The purpose in life is to have fun.
After you grasp that everything else seems insignificant !!!

Honeycomb tripe with a white sauce and onions,
mustard powder poultices for bad coughs and bunions.
Fly swats for slapping at all flying things.
Why in the hell do you think they’ve got wings

Lice on the sheep which will mean more plunge dipping,
Bogging the header in paddocks while stripping,
Mice in the paddocks and rats in the shed,
Seeing them makes me feel sick in the head.

Fleas on the dog and the poor buggers scratchin
He sleeps on the lounge and the dammed things are catching.
Midges and sandflies and march flies with stings
These are but a few of me least favourite things.

I sit and remember all of these dumb things
and then smile and think of you.
