funeral

...I went to a very big funeral yesterday back in my old home town. A 53 year old bloke who had just lost his battle with the big C, he managed to bring his sense of humour to the last moments above the ground...he knew he was going and helped write his own eulogy, it started like this,
'If you are all here today, this has all turned to shit!'...

It's definitely, 'what you leave behind'.
I'm certain there would have been a few smiling faces at the wake ... :D
Now THAT's the way to remember someone ... :lol:

it was a good funeral, as far as funerals go, that was the start of the laughs in the church, there were several to follow that one as well...(don't be alarmed, I was outside and only listening on the PA, the church was packed and so was the yard.)
When the hearse got to the cemetery, they pulled up, transferred the casket into the back of a dirty old 4WD ute and proceeded to the graveside where there was a Leigh Kernahan song playing, this bloke was a stock agent as a lad but managed to buy a farm and become a farmer/stockman before he died.
