How Gilbert Died

Today being Banjo's 151st birthday seems an appropriate time to mention that in May it will be 150 years since police shot dead the bushranger Johnny Gilbert, just outside Binalong. So on May 16 there will be a big celebration in Binalong, with poetry, music and a re-enactment of the shooting, complete with a recitation of Banjo's iconic poem, How Gilbert Died. There'll be plenty of open mic opportunities for poetry. All welcome!
