MMMMMMMMMMM

Just picked 20 Bowens off my secret tree in the back of the park before the flying foxes get them

I've tried juicy plums and some apples in strudel
Lychees and nectarines as I sit and doodle.
I love all the sweet things the festive season does bring
but fresh chilled watermelon in my favorite thing.

Apples, bananas they both make me dizzy
the sweet burst of flavor sends me into a tizzy.
But there is just one fruit that makes me let out a cheer
it's Christmas in Queensland and MANGOS are here.

Can't disagree with that Bob. I love mangoes.

My favourite too Bob but only the Kensington. Not keen on the flavours of the others.
Wazza

Mangos are delicious fruit
Of that I wouldn't quibble
But I'm careful when I eat them
As I have been known to dribble.

WEEDS

I do not think that I have ever seen
a thing as horrid as a common weed.
All burry, sticky, smelly, strong and mean;
so vigorous to spread abundant seed.
Thistle sprouts audacious from the lawn
and cats’ heads and the bindies join the fun.
Where veggies wither, dandelions spawn,
onion weed and burrs soak up the sun.
I fall upon the weeds with spade and spray,
I dig and chop and pull and poison spread.
the weeds cheer up; the flowers die away.
Clover blooms while buffalo goes dead.
I can’t get mangoes on my mango tree
but weeds fruit well in gardens kept by me.

I brought a garbage bin full home yesterday. For the horse.

Like the mutant mango, Nev.

Bob, a great deterrent to flying foxes is green ants (and we spell favourite with a "u")
