not poetry but a book non the less

Post by r.magnay » Thu Jun 12, 2014 6:56 pm

Since we are all into some sort of literature on this site, I thought it only fitting to mention that one of my nephews, Damian Magnay has just had a book published. It is an adventure drama I think, I haven't been able to get hold of a copy yet, It is Called 'King of the Mekong' and what little reviews I have seen of it it is a pretty active full on yarn. I believe it is available in hard copy or online, if you google Damian Magnay I am sure you will be able to get onto it if you are interested.
The funny thing abaout it all is that his late dad (My second brother) booked him into a writing course when he was a young bloke because he was a bit of a rebel, he didn't do the course then but has since put himself through it and gone on to be accepted by a publisher, his mum is very proud as his dad would have been.....I'm a bit chuffed too... :)

Must be good writing genes in your mob Ross - isn't that great news - and how lucky he is to have a proud uncle to spread the word as well :D

I may not always succeed in making a difference, but I will go to my grave knowing I at least tried.

thank you all, and especially for the link Manfred. yes I am quite proud, mainly for his Dad who is no longer around to see it. I think his Mum is probably proud enough for both of them though.... :D

That's terrific Ross- I can imagine how proud you must be and how proud his dad would have been of him.
