The Crime
The evidence was there to see
some crumbs upon the shelf.
Did I spill some cleaning up
or was it an errant elf.
The vita britts were chewed through
the sight brought me to tears.
But then I have not eaten Vita Britts
for many many years.
It was then that I saw it
scuttling out across the floor.
It turned around to wink at me
then hurried out the door.
T'was then I made a solum pact
with this intruder not to be lumbered.
I'm not a vicious person BUT
this mouses days are numbered.

I hope you are not using those snap traps Heather they are soooooo cruel.
Here is a much more effective trap I use.
Called The Little Strangler
Only catches the females as they are such sticky beaks and poke their heads in to see what's going on and you can catch four at once

You'll have to do better than that Heather, I'm up to four and a bit
one clanged and banged all night
after being caught and left the end of a tail in the trap.

Look out old fella
Her old man opened the door and staggered in rather drunk
Aw bloody hell that’s, the third time this week she said
Quick mum, belt ‘him one before he gets under the table.
Aw hell yah missed him mum squawked her son
She swung again hard and missed him
Again her old man tried to dodge but to no avail
Bloody hell woman that hurt and then ducked again
Swoosh went the broom, yah missed him again mum
Yelled her young son enjoying all the excitement
Tom the cat ran from the room for fear of being hit
The old man staggered around the table rather clumsily
Trying to dodge that missile that she threw, but again she missed
The old frying pan clattered as it descended once again on the floor
Steady up old woman before I gits hurt he yelled
Why should you care, yah bloody old drunk
And with that she swung her broom again.
Now listen here missus he’s only a little mouse
