Inspiration Lost

I wish that I could write something
but there is nothing in my head.
I've been so bloody busy
that my poor old brain is dead.

I've got little bits on paper
scribbled notes upon my desk,
I really think I need a break
to reinvigorate my zest.

Oh come now Bob that can’t be true
I don’t believe a word,
to think that your words have dried
up is purely – well – absurd.

Go gather up that paper trail
and get those words on line
Capture a fishing story mate
just tell the tale in rhyme.

Thanks Heather
for giving us permission to be human. (this is said sincerely not sarcastically)

Bob, your muse will return at 'her' will.
It has taken me many months to feel I am again able to get Writing. Inspiration comes is many guises. In the past few weeks I have written a poem about 'The Egg' and 'Stage Fright'. I am working on 'In My Bucket' and looking back over a poem that I have been trying to write (or finish) since 2004. I have organised my files (as much as I can) and started looking at a file containing unfinished poems. I hope there will be something there I can work on. Feeling comfortable about upcoming Festivals etc. and preparing to have entries for any written competitions that might pop up. Let's hope I haven't lost it altogether.
