True story,

For those who do not know I have gone back to playing touch football, I play with a group of uni students and have managed to push the average age of the team up from 25 to 40

Any way last week this young lady stepped past me and dived for the line I just managed to touch her on the foot and called the touch.

You missed she said, Sorry but I got you I replied. Well the ball was already down, she said. That's not for me to decide I answered.

The ref turned to me and said " Did you get her Grandad " !

Yes I answered and he ruled no try.

The young girl came up to me after the game and apologised for calling me a liar but she was most concerned that the ref had showed me such lack of respect as to call me Grandad.

That's ok I replied he is my Grandson !

Now everyone of them call me Bloody Grandad

Raise your game fellows :o  - I am sure Bob is doing it for all the right reasons, health, fitness, spending time with his Grandson - and good on him. My old Dad used to say if a bloke stopped looking he knew he was dead.

Long way off being dead then Mausie. I got sooooo bored sitting at home doing nuthin as you might have noticed by my number of posts " that I went down to see if a team needed a coach, I played at al levels for about thirty years and only gave it up because of my heart event.

Got down there and they said Lisa's team was looking for players so went down and they signed me up I then asked what the team was called " Lisa's Team " they all said LOL.

Oh no problems if anything goes wrong my doctor plays in the same comp.

Tonne of fun if I could only get them to run straight.

Will have my own team next year with my son and two grandsons and other family members so should be good.

Cheers Bob

Bob's Team.

Maybe we should start calling Melbourne Paul's Team.
