Very English, isn't it. Or is it Scots? He's been around for yonks - first cut his teeth with Fairport Convention, one of my favourite bands of that period. Perhaps he's best known for 'The Dimming of the Day', which has been covered by many people. He might even be better known as a songwriter than a performer, though he's brilliant at both.

He was born in Notting Hill, London. but I agree with you Bob I found you had to listen really hard as well. I think his enunciation could be better or maybe his beard needs trimming :lol: :lol: :lol:

Yes, that's right. His father was a Scot. At least he sings slowly.
