Report re Tamworth Events

Post by Vic Jefferies » Tue Feb 05, 2013 4:48 pm

How about some one giving a report on the poetry events and happenings at Tamworth? How did the float go and what about the walk ups and were the other scheduled events well attended, etcetera. Suppose we will have to wait for Manfred's official report but what about an unoffical report re the Annual General Meeting, was it well attended ?

Most of the Tamworth info will be in the February Mag ....

My 'puter died on my on my return, I've managed to save the contents of the hard drive and am configuring the new system while restoring the data ...

Hoping to have some Tamworth stuff up by tomorrow (Wednesday) ...
Thanks for your patience

M.

I was at both the Golden Damper final as well as the Blackened Billy awards (also went to the AGM) - wish I'd taken notes.

I know the placings of the Golden damper but can't remember the name of the 3rd place getter of the original section.

I also know who was 1st 2nd & 3rd in the Blackened Billy plus most if not all the winners of HC's.

I would have put them up but didn't want to leave anyone out so thought it best to wait until the official announcement.

Good move Terry. I have just received the rest of the results myself for the Magazine, which goes to the Printers tomorrow. Thank goodness for the extended deadline!! The organisers are the ones who need to send in results so that everything is accurate and not all over the place as we have often seen in the past. Unfortunately some are very slow in doing so whilst others never even get around to it!

As Manfred said, have patience.

Good on you John and Robyn - worthy winners of the first ABPA run Golden Damper Award.

Winners are grinners. :D

And to all who competed - well done. You are all champions

Cheers

Congratulations Robyn and John. Well done to anyone who had a go - it's not an easy thing to do and you all deserve a prize.
