Cohuna (pron.: /koʊˈhuːnə/) is a town situated 274 kilometres (170 mi) north of Melbourne. With Bamawm I think you have to somehow swallow the last syllable as it were so it comes out like Bama as in spanner, and wm as in saying the w sound on an exhaled breath so it kind of sounds like Bamawhooom

cheers

Maureen

G'day Bob

I have just read a copy of the poem on the web. Cohuna is pronounced something like Cah hu nah - the stress being on the middle syllable. Bamawm I am pretty sure is Bah morm, the stress on the second syllable. The word at the end of the previous line, 'worn', should give the clue on pronunciation since it is rhymed with Bamawm.

I hope that helps.
