Sunday Morning

Sunday morning way too boring
rose early but nothing to do.
No local paper on my doorstep
repeats on TV, kids shows too.

Fed the bird, gave dogs their breakfast
checked my e-mails one or two.
Put some washing on to cycle
checked outside skys bright and blue.

Think I might go to the markets
but they are too far away.
Finish off that front yard garden
but damm I did not buy the hay.

So I sit quietly and ponder
think I might be out of touch.
I think of all the things I could do
but on Sunday thinking hurts to much.

Bob Pacey ( C )

Sunday is the rest day best day of all.

Hey Bobbo. You can duck over here if you like & repair my ''leaning tower'' laundry. That'll give you something to do..... ;)

So be it Bob. :)

I like your little verse. I like the good sentences and plain language, I think that is something to strive for in our bush verse. Might need a little punctuation just to make it flow more easily.
