To-day, I was watching a BBC quiz show on TV , called The Eggheads.

One of the questions to-day was " The two cities of Mackay and Toowomba are located in which Australian State. Tasmania, Queensland ( pronounced Quinslund by the host ) or Western Australia " ?

The contestant answered " They both sound very way out, so I will go for Western Australia "

WRONG.

Sounds like an intellectually stimulating show Neville.

i have stumbled on that show a couple of times in moments of boredom Nev ! I could not keep up with the frantic pace.

I like the show I enjoy most quiz shows. surprise, surprise. Except the one about pop music and the one about sport. Letters and Numbers, on the ABC 1 is a good one.

The Eggheads do very well on the questions and I shouldn't jeer because I can't answer the questions on English geography.

What makes the Eggheads quiz show seem a bit dampened and slow perhaps to our ears is that they don't have a studio audience.

Neville, it is a program I regularly watch.

I find knowledge gained from most places is beneficial.
