For those interested in art and those interested in poetic things related to the Australian War experience, there's a very good episode of Australian Story which I think will be repeated on Saturday television, ABC 1 at 12 or 12.30pm.
It's about Ben Quilty the artist who won the Archibald Prize in 2011 and his experience as an official war artist in Afghanistan. I found it fascinating and definitely inspiring.
The encounter of the artist with soldiers at the battle front, ( or that could be poet in my mind ) changed the artist profoundly and changed the soldiers.
Recommended viewing.
