Manfred has recently posted a very fetching photo of himself on the set of 'Rush'. I know Geoffrey Graham was in 'Anzacs'. It would be interesting to know of any other bush poets that have appeared in movies or TV shows.

G'day Stephen

Dave Proust was in a bread commercial (can't think of which brand of bread it was for now though, someone else on here might have remembered seeing it though). Geoffrey W Graham has done some commercials on TV as well.

Well done, Heather!

My son, Thomas, and I were heading north along the Hume one year on the way to the National. We stopped for a toasted sandwich and a coffee, and there was Geoffrey Graham's friendly face beaming at us out of the TV! It was an ad for something or other...

I actually made the news twice that night Stephen which I thought was pretty funny. I was in a special about the first anniversary of Black Saturday - all good stories. It was an interesting experience having a film crew follow me around for half a day, driving with cameras on my car etc. On the same day as it went to air i was at a thankyou bbq. A fellow I know who lost his home ended up in a neighbour's dam along with about 5 friends and a heap of wildlife. If it weren't for the neighbour they most likely would have perished because they had absolutely no idea of what to do or what to expect. He was dressed in shorts - no shirt, not even footwear and that is all he ended up with in the end - what he was wearing. Anyhow, I digress. The two neighbours have become good friends. The point is the bbq was given as a thank you to Clem for saving their lives and being a good neighbour. I was at the bbq, holding the baby of the producer of the show and it was on the news the same night as the special but as a separate item. Kept out of the public view since then Stephen! :)

Does nearly getting there count?

One time one of our granddaughters (mid teens) was modelling for a TV commercial at a clothing boutique in Bunbury and as Elaine and I were there we got filmed as part of the crowd but when it went to air alas we were on the cutting room floor.

TTFn 8-)

Yeah Prousty gets his mug on the telly any chance he can - he was in a Bundy Rum ad (abusing the ref at a footy game, I believe) and he had a small part in the last Underbelly series too. And I'm sure that's Prousty popping up out of a man-hole yelling "Rhonda you little ripper" in that nauseating AAMI ad with Rhonda the Ranga.

Marty

ps. Jack Thompson's (Keat's favourite) does he count?
