SSSSHHH

Post by Bob Pacey » Thu May 17, 2012 8:58 am

SSSSHHH don't tell anyone but young dave Smith turns 74 today ??

We need to keep this really, really quiet cause I think Dave is pretty sensitive about his age.

So quietly Dave, Happy Birthday and you now have free membership of the Australian Old Farts Club.

Now Old Farts are easy to recognise

They stand up and remove their hats when the national Anthem is played, they sing the words without embarrassment.

They remember those who sacrificed their lives to keep us free and show this by attending every ANZAC Day.

Old Farts apologise if they bump you in the street, They hold the door open for the next person, Tip their hat to ladies and can be counted on to help when help is needed.

Old Farts get embarrassed when someone swears in front of women or children and they don't like dirty language on TV.

Old Farts have courage in their committments and seldom brag unless it is about their children or grandchildren.

Yep Old Farts are proud of their country and its history and they show it with their work ethic and decent values.

Some Old Farts even write Poetry.

Ya know I reckon Dave has been an Old Fart for ages.

Cheers mate and enjoy your special day.
