where there will be no bloody snow,
it gets so slushy when it all melts
then down the drain it has to go.

I’m dreaming of an Aussie Christmas
where our hot sun shines every day
temperature rises to the high forties
it is so hot it bakes the clay.

I’m dreaming of an Aussie Christmas
where raging bushfires burn for weeks
mementos, toys, sometimes lives lost
happiness, again one surely seeks.

I’m dreaming of an Aussie Christmas
where dear ol’ Santa rides a ‘roo
his Chrissie bag is full of beaut pressies
just for you, there will be two.

I’m dreaming of an Aussie Christmas
where carefree is a way of life
sun, sand, surf, lots of snow skiing
not much time for too much strife.

I’m dreaming of an Aussie Christmas
where all the relo’s come to dine,
where Christmas dinner
will be a right winner.
It’s when we know
that all is fine.
