Just reporting in from a 'warmer place' and I can assure you that the temperature and humidity in Tokyo can at times be crushing. When one comes home from tourising around the city one does not just 'slip into something more comfortable' as the saying goes, one has to first literally peel off all that is stuck on before heading for the shower. In two weeks I have to come home and face the music, just wondering whether I should get off at Bali or Tahiti and let this global warming/cooling bit equalise a bit.

In Tokyo for business or pleasure Ian? Sounds like a place to avoid Ian. I don't like humidity - no, i detest humidity. Victoria in March is the best place to be. Yeah, get off in Fiji - good there this time of year. I was there in June last year - a bit warm but near the sea it was purrrffect!
