Yes, Heather, that one's a real problem.

And "excape" instead of "escape"; "asterix" instead of "asterisk"; "all goes well" instead of "augurs well"; "prostrate cancer" instead of "prostate cancer"; and "agreeance" instead of "agreement".

And regarding that weather presenter up in Bendigo, I suspect it's the same one that Geoffrey Graham (who lives there) has written a very funny poem about. Although, as you might have guessed, the theme has little to do with the weather!

Cheers
David

I think it's simpler than that Marty - it's that people don't know that "lose" means you have lost something and "loose" means you are a wanton - oops, sorry, means you need to tighten a bolt! I see "loose" used a lot these days when the meaning is clearly "lose".

I'm intrigued about this chick who does the weather in Bendigo (now that we learn she has had a poem written about her that is) :)

Her name is Jane Bunn, and she just recently announced her retirement which, according to radio station 3AW, "caused heartbreak for men in the country". You'd have to contact Geoffrey to get a copy of the poem, although you need to see him perform it to get full value!

Cheers
