OK I give up.

what was the topic ... or is this some new language? Spoken in two word bursts? Lucky I'm not a newcomer and landing on this page.

Pimms

Grew up on Bean ean Moselle...does any one else remember a drop called Bodega Pearl? May have been something that was peculiar to Ipswich back in 1974 but by golly it was a good drop.  Have very fond memories of it. It was cheap and similar in taste to Asti Spumante which I am still very partial too.

And Creme de Menthe.....loved that when I was younger....now it just reminds me of toothpaste :o

I hear those words quite often usually by miscreant 'service providers' usually when they've stuffed up on their service .... Also commonly heard as a justification for raising essential services like Electricity

A POX ON ALL their houses ... :x

I always remember peanut paste as opposed to peanut butter, people continually insist that it has always been peanut butter, but I am sure it was only peanut butter in the 'Dennis The Menace' comics but peanut paste in our normal language! I can also remember thinking what the hell is a pizza? they were often mentioned in those comics to, but I had never heard of nor had any idea what they were!..........yeah yeah, I lived a sheltered life I know.
