In other words, the poet shows what others may not have noticed, because the poet says things in a different way to ordinary speech. Metaphor, simile, hyperbole, and uses language with emotive force rather than simple statements of fact. We are shown how to feel what the poet feels.
As someone has said, art ( poetry ? ) is not a description of an event, it is an event. If we grasp that, we are on the way... hopefully. :)
