Artists and poets undoubtedly get excited about things long before the general public.

Be always alert to language: it is yours as a poet in a special way. Others may let words go without plucking them out of the air for consideration and play, we do not.

I've always had to conquer fear when I'm on stage. Basically, I was and still am a very shy person. It's absolutely in conflict with what I do. But once I deliver the first joke I'm okay. It's like I'm out there all by myself just delivering my lines to nobody in particular without ever trying to notice the audience in front of me.

I don't get a lot of stage fright but have a fear of forgetting my lines, like the other day umm what did you say oh dear skip it.

I just finished a jig saw in 3 months not bad hey, the box said two to four years.

Y'know, you can't please all the people all the time... and last night, all those people were at my show.

I do come across people who don't like me, don't like my comedy, don't think it's funny, it's too cutesy, or whatever they hate. And it's like, 'Okay. That's your opinion. Somebody liked it, so that's good.' Hopefully it balances out.
