Stephen, I just finished a new book by Alain de Botton called The News. More or less a cynical view of the way " news ' affects the way we experience the world. He seems to believe that the news has taken the place once held by religion.

Even when religion was more a part of most people's lives (talking 1800s), news was a big part of people's lives - the difference is the way it was delivered. News hasn't replaced religion - facebook has! Or is it Google?

I thought you would have at least wished my brother a happy birthday Neville - it's a special one.... :)
