Heather it sounds to me like you have just discovered the Folk Music and Folk Festival scene!
I stumbled into this wonderful area about 15 years ago and like you I was totally amazed at the talent the entertainment and the wonderfully welcoming friendly people. You have experienced a good festival but a minor one. You need to make the trip to Canberra over the Easter weekend and attend the absolutely amazing National Folk Festival, one of the best in the world. You will never be the same again! You will come away wishing the world was like that for twelve months of the year and with a heap of new friends. Maldon Folk Festival held in early November is another wonderful event and is not too far from you. Most folk festivals feature poetry events and the National and Maldon excel in this area.

You're right Vic. There's just too many festivals, not enough time and not enough money for all of them! I think something else was on the last Maldon weekend and it clashed - can't remember what it was though. Wouldn't it be nice if the world was like that all the time - happy, relaxed, friendly people and lovely music. I came home feeling so good. There's nothing like music to do that for you.

Build me up then tear my fragile emotions apart in one breath.
