What I can't let you get away with Heather, is Pidgeon English. ;) :) That spelling is sometimes used but the "correct" spelling is Pidgin English. Nothing to do with birds, the word pidgin is a version of the word business. Pidgin English or Business English , being a sort of Lingua Franca between English speaking administrators or traders and indigenous people who spoke various tribal languages.

Seems like your feathered mate, Bob, reckons there is such a thing as a free lunch.

Neville you have been sitting on that one for about 6 weeks so I guess it's ready to hatch now! I hasten to point out that Marty used the incorrect spelling first sir!

I come here every day hoping to learn something new - and often I do.....

Peppi

I was gonna pen a poem today one to make you folks all swoon
it might be about the joy of Christmas or the waning of the moon.
I was gonna write so beautifully of loves both won and lost
or perhaps some little sonnet that might draw a sharp riposte.

The words flowed from my keyboard they danced across the screen
this poem was gonna be a beauty the best you've ever seen.
then as I neared the ending and this came with such a shock,
I found that I was quickly smitten by the dreaded writers block.

So I went and made a cuppa just to refresh my muddled brain
to try and clear the cobwebs and ease the brain cells strain.
But when I sat down revitalized sheer despair came over me
For that stinking bloody Peppi had once more pecked the delete key !

Merry Christmas all. from Peppi and Bob

Roberto. SupaGlue a big bird seed to 'Q' on your keyboard. That'll get him pecking well away from 'Delete'......or better still...get him his own keyboard!! The little blighter is obviously an avian poet. (I love the story of his returning home to you.)

Good one mate. Have a bonza Chrissy.

Ah Glenny he seems to be attracted to the lights on the keyboard and the red glow from the mouse in particular, Most annoying when I'm playing computor golf and about to take a putt for the win when he lands on the desk and scatters papers everywhere. But he has a personality all his own. I hope the hairs he pecks out of my scalp are all the grey ones ???

Off to visit the daughter and her clan this morning then down to the beach for a few ales with the other little ferals as I call them beach footy beach cricket skim boards and cold beer now thats an Aussie christmas.

Cheers and be good

Bob
